Dr. Vincent Giacalone

Clinical Trials
Dr. Vincent Giacalone is the lead principal investigator at Curalta Clinical Trials. He has been conducting research and clinical studies for the medical and pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years. Currently he is the vice president and director of research and clinical trials at Curalta. A nationally recognized speaker, Dr. Giacalone has lectured across the country at medical conferences and meetings regarding various medical topics. He has written several medical textbook chapters, published numerous medical papers, research, and articles on a variety of medical topics, and is the editor of the diabetes chapter for the textbook The Compendium of Podiatric Surgery.
In private practice since 1990, Dr. Giacalone is double Board Certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Surgery as well as the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. As a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Dr. Giacalone has served on its national Diabetes Advisory Committee for many years, as well as the chairman of the Northern New Jersey Division. He has served as a board member on the New Jersey Affiliate of the American Diabetes Association. Until recently, Dr. Giacalone also practiced part-time, for many years at the prestigious Hospital for Joint Disease in New York City.

Dr. DiTrolio
Dr. Dino DiTrolio has been in private practice for over 32 years serving the New York and New Jersey areas. Dr. DiTrolio is a highly respected foot and ankle surgeon trained in the most advanced procedures and has been involved in clinical research for many years. Dr. DiTrolio graduated from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1988 and performed his residency training at the Miami VA Medical Center in Miami, Florida. The VA Medical Center is affiliated with the world-renowned Jackson Memorial Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center. There, Dr. DiTrolio went on to perfect his techniques in Advanced Diabetic Limb Salvage and reconstructive foot & ankle surgery. He is board certified by both the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
He utilizes a minimally invasive ultrasound-guided machine (Tenex) and stem cell injection to treat tendon disorders and plantar fasciitis. Dr. DiTrolio has also trained in the use of lasers for the treatment of fungal toenails and warts as well as injections for the treatment of heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, and Achilles tendonitis. Dr. DiTrolio performs ALL types of foot and ankle procedures such as bunions, hammer toes, foot and ankle fractures, and tendon surgery. He performs the latest bunion techniques such as the Lapiplasty which is a 3D bunion procedure to permanently correct bunion deformities. He is also trained in advanced wound care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) and is on staff at Hackensack University Medical Center @ Pascack Valley Wound Center where he treats patients with chronic non-healing wounds.

Dr. Greenberg
Dr. Lee Greenberg has been in practice for many years. His medical training began at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he received a B.S. in Exercise Science/Public Health. Dr. Greenberg received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2013 after graduating from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He received several academic scholarships including the J.T. Tai Scholarship for exemplary academic performance. Dr. Greenberg made the Dean’s list every semester. His postdoctoral training was done at Long Island Jewish Medical Center now called Northwell Health. He completed a three-year surgical residency program with training in rearfoot/ankle reconstructive surgery. Dr. Greenberg was fortunate to have opportunities to rotate in many surgical and medical arenas for both adults and pediatrics. This included comprehensive wound care training, trauma surgery, complex fore/rearfoot reconstruction, and sports medicine at Fordham University athletic department. At Fordham University he worked alongside the training department to diagnose and treat all components of foot and ankle pathologies for Division I athletes.
Dr. Greenberg is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Greenberg’s interests and training include elective reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, limb salvage, trauma, and diabetic foot care.

Dr. Dhara Doshi earned Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology at SUNY Stony Brook. Having a strong interest in medicine she was accepted to and attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Esformes
Dr. Ira Esformes is one of the area’s leading orthopedic surgeons. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He has over 35 years of experience in all aspects of orthopedic care. Dr. Esformes is passionate about keeping up with all the latest medical and surgical advances and research, as he was one the first New Jersey physicians to perform meniscus knee graft transplants. He is experienced in a full spectrum of orthopedic conditions with specialization in hip and knee replacements, arthroscopic procedures and sports injuries. Dr. Esformes has been involved in clinical research for many years and now brings his experience and expertise to Curalta Clinical Trials as we help to advance medical and surgical treatment for various orthopedic conditions through clinical trials.

He completed his medical residency at Robert Wood Hospital followed by a fellowship in geriatrics at Georgetown University. In addition to a robust private practice, he has been the medical director at Atlas of Maywood and Family of Caring in Park Ridge. Dr. Pantagis specialized in geriatrics, pain and palliative care, having extensive knowledge of age related illnesses. He has affiliations at Hackensack University Medical Center, Pascack Valley Medical Center and Englewood Hospital. As part of his hospital related responsibilities, Dr. Pantagis teaches medical students, residents and fellows on the topic of geriatrics, pain and post hospital care. He participates in the hospital’s safety and medical education committees. Dr.Pantagis has been very involved in patient care and the clinical trial program development at Curalta for many years.

Dr. Cahill
Dr. James Cahill is a board certified orthopedic surgeon, whose private practice is proudly affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. He is a senior attending physician and one of the founding members of the Center for Joint Replacement at Hackensack Medical Center. He is also affiliated with Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ and Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Dr. Cahill is a fellowship trained sports medicine and reconstruction specialist, in practice for over twenty years and routinely performs arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery of the shoulders, elbow, hip and knee. As a result, cutting edge techniques and technology are always utilized.
Currently, Dr. Cahill has particular interests in joint replacements, arthroscopic shoulder and knee ligament repair/reconstructive surgery as well as treatment of cartilage injuries. Dr. Cahill has lectured on and participated in original research for the treatment of cartilage injuries that ultimately require cartilage repair and reconstruction. He has been selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor as well as Inside Jersey Top Doctors. Dr. Cahill states that science and technology are at long last providing a solution for these previously difficult to treat problems

Radhika serves as the Clinical Research Manager at Curalta Clinical Trials, where she oversees study operations across multiple trials. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University in 2017. Since then, Radhika has built an extensive and diverse background in clinical research, supporting studies across a wide range of therapeutic areas including neurology, metabolic disorders, and podiatric conditions. Driven by a passion for advancing research that directly improves patients’ lives, she is committed to delivering high-quality clinical studies that can lead to better outcomes for patients.
Harrison
Harrison Miller, MD, MS is an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator and Data Scientist specializing in managing clinical trials and applying machine learning for medical advancements. Drawing on a unique background in medicine and clinical experience, he builds impactful health technology models. His expertise encompasses regulatory compliance, patient recruitment, data analysis, and model development, with a focus on disease detection and diagnosis. He excels at leading teams to ensure protocol adherence and bridging communication between stakeholders to achieve research objectives.

Hajah is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Research Sub-Investigator with years of experience in clinical trials. She brings a strong background in patient care, research coordination, and protocol adherence across diverse therapeutic areas. Hajah holds a BSN from the University of Miami, an MPH from Liberty University, and an MSN from the University of Pennsylvania. Passionate about advancing evidence-based medicine, she combines clinical expertise with a public health perspective to contribute meaningfully to innovative healthcare solutions.

Cheyenne is a highly motivated and experienced medical assistant with a proven track record in supporting clinical trial operations and providing exceptional patient care. She possesses strong clinical skills, administrative proficiency, and a passion for research and patient well-being. Nathaniel
Nathaniel “Nate” Vasquez completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University with a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences. Nate went on to work in the clinical laboratory at Valley Hospital for years before obtaining his Registered Medical Assistant certification along with Phlebotomy and EKG certifications. Since then, Nate has worked alongside multiple providers from both Urgent Care and Podiatry specialties in order to provide a high standard of patient care. Today, Nate is applying his clinical experience to the realm of clinical trials at Curalta in order to be on the forefront of new, state-of-the-art therapies, medications, techniques, and products that could revolutionize the healthcare industry.
