She then completed a three-year residency training at Northwell Health Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York, where she served as chief resident in her final year. During her residency, she received extensive training in lower extremity trauma, diabetic limb salvage, and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle.
