Dr. Frank J. Tursi is a highly respected foot and ankle surgeon, regenerative medicine specialist, and national leader in vascular and wound care, with nearly 20 years of experience delivering advanced nonsurgical and surgical treatments for complex lower-extremity conditions.
Dr. Tursi earned his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine (Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine) and completed his surgical residency at Atlanta Hospital and the Regional Diabetes Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
A recognized authority in complex foot and ankle deformities, vascular disease of the lower extremities, and diabetic wound management, Dr. Tursi holds multiple national leadership roles. He serves as Chairman of Podiatric and Wound Care for New Cardiovascular Horizons, National PAD Director for Azura Vascular Care, and Podiatric Surgical Consultant for National Cardiovascular Partners. He also holds a master’s degree from the American Professional Wound Care Association.
Dr. Tursi is the Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery at Virtua and Inspira Health and has served as a foot and ankle consultant to the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Phantoms for more than 30 years.
As a pioneer in regenerative medicine, Dr. Tursi developed innovative protocols utilizing platelet-rich plasma (PRP), amniotic membrane, and umbilical cord product injections to treat common foot and ankle injuries nonsurgically, helping patients heal while avoiding invasive procedures whenever possible.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Tursi is a nationally acclaimed speaker on Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) diagnosis and treatment, having delivered more than 70 lectures across the United States.
