Dr. Wade Ritter is a dedicated podiatrist with over 25 years of private practice experience. Now seeing patients in Cape May Court House and Mays Landing, Dr. Ritter brings his clinical expertise and a patient-first approach to Curalta Foot & Ankle.
He treats a full range of foot and ankle conditions, from common ailments to more complex issues, always focusing on personalized care and long-term wellness. Known for his down-to-earth demeanor, Dr. Ritter developed a strong reputation and loyal patient base during his decades of practice in Columbia, Maryland.
Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, Dr. Ritter earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of North Dakota, where he was an 18-time All-American swimmer and an Academic All-American. He earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. His postgraduate training includes a primary podiatric medical residency in Chicago, followed by a two-year surgical residency at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, Maryland.
He has been living with well-controlled Type 1 Diabetes for over 35 years. Dr. Ritter offers his patients not only medical expertise but also personal insight into chronic disease management. He has taught diabetes education courses at Howard County General Hospital, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins, and is passionate about helping others take control of their health through education and fitness.
An accomplished athlete, Dr. Ritter has completed a marathon and a half Ironman Triathlon while managing his diabetes. He remains active today, training in Olympic-style weightlifting, biking, and swimming—often alongside his dog in Ocean City. He and his wife, Dr. Sharon Siebold, also a podiatrist with Curalta Foot & Ankle located in Linwood and Ventnor City, are excited to be practicing locally. They have four sons who continue to be active members of the Ocean City Beach Patrol. One of their sons also lives with Type 1 Diabetes, further deepening Dr. Ritter’s commitment to supporting families managing the condition.
