Meet Matthew Welch, DPM

Matthew Welch, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon with more than 30 years of experience delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Known for his thoughtful approach and attentive bedside manner, Dr. Welch is dedicated to helping patients restore mobility, relieve pain, and maintain long-term foot and ankle health.

Dr. Welch earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University before receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1990. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and has built a distinguished career treating a broad spectrum of foot and ankle conditions using both conservative and surgical techniques.

His clinical expertise includes the treatment of plantar fasciitis, tendon and ligament injuries, bunions, diabetic foot conditions, acute skin infections, sports-related injuries, and complex foot and ankle disorders. Dr. Welch takes pride in developing individualized treatment plans rooted in accurate diagnosis, patient education, and evidence-based care.

Dr. Welch sees patients at multiple locations in Maywood and Rutherford, New Jersey. He accepts most major insurance plans and is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing him to provide high-quality care to a diverse and growing patient population.
