Dr. Caitlin Mahan Madden joined Podiatry Care Specialists in 2019. A South Jersey native, Dr. Madden learned about podiatry from her father, a podiatric surgeon who often let her tag along to conferences. She left the East Coast to attend the University of Notre Dame, where she was a member of the Honors Program and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. From there it was back to Philadelphia, where she received her DPM degree in 2011 from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. In 2015, Dr. Madden completed an extensive four-year surgical residency at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where she received training in foot and ankle reconstruction, trauma, and limb salvage. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Madden’s professional interests include trauma, reconstructive surgery, and education. She has been a guest speaker for the Podiatry Institute, written textbook chapters, and enjoys teaching students and residents. She enjoys reading, horseback riding, quilting, and traveling with her husband and son. (She always appreciates book recommendations!) She is committed to working with her patients as a team to help them return to full and active lives.
