Dr. Brinkley completed her undergraduate education at La Salle University where she graduated with honors earning her Bachlors degree in Biology. She continued her education at Temple University’s College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia where she graduated in 2007 with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. During her time at Temple, she was vice president of the Anatomical Honor society and the recipient of several scholastic awards.
Following graduation, Dr. Brinkley completed three years of Residency Training at Aria Health (Jefferson Northeast Health), a level II trauma center. During this time, she served as chief resident and received extensive surgical training in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. She was honored as resident of the year during her final year of training. Specific areas of training included fracture care, soft tissue management and internal/external fixation techniques, as well as traditional reconstructive forefoot and rearfoot procedures for arthritis, deformities, tendon disorders and diabetic limb salvage.
Dr. Brinkley served as an attending surgeon at the Jefferson Health system in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for 10 years. She was actively involved in residency training and was the Assistant Residency Director of the Aria-Jefferson surgical residency program.
She is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is an active member of the APMA and PPMA. She was also a fellow of the Academy of Physicians in Wound Care and is a Physician certified in wound care.
Dr. Brinkley treats all ailments of the foot and ankle ranging from simple ingrown toenails to complex surgical problems. Her primary interests lie in forefoot surgery, diabetic preventative medicine and foot care treating patients with ulcerations, infections and neuropathy.
Dr. Brinkley takes great pride in treating patients and considers patient care a privilege. She has always maintained a professional patient-centered attitude and has enjoyed her career in podiatry.
Dr. Brinkley resides in Bucks County, PA and enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels and volunteering in her community. She is also an accomplished violinist who enjoys playing duets with her young daughter on both violin and piano.
