Dr. Karl Kado, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon with more than three decades of clinical experience. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree and a Master of Biomedical Science degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. He completed a comprehensive two-year residency at Meadowlands Hospital and Medical Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, where his training included extensive surgical experience in foot and ankle procedures.
Dr. Kado’s surgical expertise includes advanced bunion and hammertoe correction, ankle arthroscopy, and a wide range of reconstructive foot and ankle procedures. Board certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons since 1998 and recently recertified, he remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of care through ongoing continuing medical education.
With a strong background in sports medicine, Dr. Kado treats many runners and athletes and maintains an active lifestyle himself, giving him a personal understanding of the demands placed on the lower extremities. He offers both conservative and advanced treatment options, including Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) for chronic heel, tendon, and arch pain, as well as biologic injection therapies for patients who are not surgical candidates.
Dr. Kado places a strong emphasis on diabetic foot care and prevention. He is Medicare-approved to dispense extra-depth diabetic shoes with custom and heat-molded inserts and prioritizes patient education to promote long-term foot health. He is a proud graduate of Pennsylvania State University and is affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center, and Riverside ENT & Sinus Center.
