Dr. Sana Trovato received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. She completed a comprehensive three-year forefoot and rearfoot surgical residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, a teaching affiliate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Trovato received extensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including trauma, reconstructive surgery, and elective procedures, with a specialized focus on diabetic limb salvage. During her residency, she conducted research on limb salvage rates following revascularization and completed a dermatopathology fellowship in her final year.
A lifelong resident of the New York and New Jersey area, Dr. Trovato attended the prestigious Bronx High School of Science before earning her undergraduate degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, where she majored in chemical biology and minored in history. Having experienced various lower extremity and foot issues during her youth, she developed an early passion for healing and pain management, leading her to volunteer extensively in hospital settings across New York and New Jersey.
Now serving patients at Curalta Foot & Ankle, Dr. Trovato is dedicated to exhausting every treatment option to help her patients return to their daily activities as quickly as possible. She is a member of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and a Fellow of both the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons and the American College of Podiatric Medicine.
