Dhara Shah, DPM, is a podiatric physician providing comprehensive foot and ankle care with a strong focus on surgical excellence, wound care, and limb preservation. She is dedicated to delivering personalized, patient-centered treatment while emphasizing long-term foot health and functional outcomes.
Dr. Shah earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, with a minor in Psychology, from the State University of New York College at Old Westbury. She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed a rigorous three-year residency at NYC Health + Hospitals South Brooklyn Health (formerly Coney Island Hospital), where she received extensive training in reconstructive and elective foot and ankle surgery, with additional emphasis on wound care and limb salvage.
During her residency, Dr. Shah was recognized for her clinical excellence, earning Podiatric Resident of the Month and serving as Chief Resident in her final year. She completed advanced coursework in internal fixation, external fixation, limb deformity correction, and arthroscopic surgical techniques. Dr. Shah is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.
A native New Yorker raised on Long Island, Dr. Shah is proud to serve her community. She is multilingual and speaks English, Gujarati, Hindi-Urdu, and Spanish, allowing her to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population. Outside of the office, she enjoys music, hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog.
